ASB Forms
The Associated Student Body (ASB) meets daily to plan, organize, and implement all activities on campus and involving the Student Body of John F. Kennedy High School. Once a week, the Leadership class (made up of a minimum of 20 elected officers and 20 students that represent sports, clubs, and academies) and the Activities Director conduct an official ASB Meeting. (These meetings are usually on Monday unless it is a holiday.) Any money or activity involving the students of JFK must be PRE-approved through ASB by law (CA ED code 48932). ASB helps manage class, clubs, and athletic accounts at the school. If ANY student at Kennedy High School is INVOLVED in any ACTIVITY that relates to the school - we HAVE to approve it.
During this meeting purchase orders (POs) or expenditures, fundraisers, activity and checks requests are processed. Also during these meeting decisions about upcoming events are discussed to ensure no conflicts arise. After the meeting advisors and coaches are emailed with the results of their requests. As well as posted on the JFK website.
Majority of the time items are approved. Items are NOT approved if there is a conflict with the date, no funding in the account, or goes against the law.
* Please note district makes restrictions that are stricter than the ED code and we must follow them.
*Turn in any forms to the Activities Director, Ms. Mulcahy, in Room 156.
