AP Exams: Registration instructions
The process of signing up for an AP test, and paying for the test is as follows:
- If you haven't already done so, create a College Board student account here. Make sure you use your legal name so that it matches the name you'll be using on your college applications. Register using your personal email or your school account; just be sure to remember which one.
- Get the join code for your class from your AP teachers. Each teacher and each teacher's period has a specific join code for the course AP exam. Please contact Mr. Hunter for the Self-Study exam code(s). Use the code to register for your AP exam here. If you have a second term AP class, the earliest you can register and join for the exam is January 24, 2022.
- Joining will provide you with AP resources and reviews. It will also automatically order an AP test for you. Each AP exam is $115 per each test. For student with Free & Reduced lunch, the fee is $45 per test.
- This year (2022-2023), there is a $45 fee to cancel your order if you do so before 3:30 pm. March 14th, 2022. You will need to let Mr. Hunter know if you want to cancel an order. (jhunter@fusdk12.net)
Below are the refund deadlines for cancellations of exams:
- Cancel up to Wednesday, February 28, 2023 at 3:30 PM - full refund
- Cancel after Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 3:59 PM - $45 cancellation fee per exam (Note: these fees were waived by College Board previously. That is not the case this year.)
- March 15, 2023 at 4:00 PM and after - No refund available
- Next, you will need to pay for the test(s) through Total Registration. If you receive Free or Reduced lunch, or need financial assistance, you can request it in Total Registration.
It is important that you understand that you must do both by the deadline:
1. Register for the test through College Board AND 2. Pay for the test through Total Registration.
- For classes held in 1st term and self study exams, the deadline is 5:00pm October 22, 2021.
- For classes held in 2nd term, the deadline is 5:00pm. March 1, 2023.
- All testing will be in-person testing. Because of this we may be limited in space, so some students may be placed on a waitlist. Register early to avoid being waitlisted.
- Please continue to monitor updates and get additional information regarding AP testing on the District AP Website. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Hunter. (jhunter@fusdk12.net)
